Initial requirement
The request was to develop a floor-level channel that could be a modern alternative to the traditional shower tray. The product had to adapt to different home designs, guaranteeing ease of installation, aesthetic compatibility with the wall covering and a high quality of construction. The aim was also to offer more formats and customisable finishings, while maintaining versatility and practicality.
What was the problem?
To create a functional solution that is easy to install and which solves the issue of sealing, cleaning and accessibility during installation and maintenance. We needed a compact but complete product that could be integrated into residential contexts without invasive changes to the environment.

A modular and flexible system, with adjustable feet and easy inspection, combining contemporary design and durability. It was essential that the product be technically reliable and customisable according to the client’s requirements.
The challenge
Designing a floor-level component meant facing real challenges related to the precision of the couplings, structural solidity, and minimum tolerance between the grille, drain channel body and covering. It was necessary to integrate a complete regulation, drainage, and anti-odour system in a contained space, while maintaining an essential aesthetic. In addition, it was necessary to guarantee hydraulic functionality and mechanical stability without sacrificing the immediacy of assembly.

The process
We followed a structured, traceable, and fully managed flow: from preliminary analysis to series production. The synergy between the technical department, the mould workshop and the production departments allowed us to approach each phase with consistency and full operational control. This integrated approach allowed us to quickly intervene on every variable, reduce development time, and guarantee a reliable, repeatable, and technically accurate result in every detail.
We analysed installation conditions in residential environments, evaluating structural, aesthetic, and functional constraints. The initial technical study included the definition of the minimum footprint, the interaction between the drain channel and the ceramic cladding, and the modular configuration of the measurements, considering the actual site requirements.
Each component has been engineered to ensure dimensional accuracy, rigidity, and durability. We chose materials resistant to moisture and chemicals, suitable for everyday use and prolonged exposure to water. Particular attention was given to the balance between functional technical elements and visible aesthetic parts.
The moulds were manufactured in-house to close tolerances to ensure precise fits between the channel body, grille, and anti-odour system. We optimised the geometries to minimise shrinkage and facilitate the moulding of long, thin elements, while ensuring cycle repeatability.
The component is produced by injection moulding, followed by partially automated assembly operations. The assembly of the articulated feet and the anti-odour system is carried out according to proven procedures, with constant functional and dimensional checks.
The result
A product that can be installed in any domestic shower that does not require the use of a recessed shower tray. The different sizes available and the customisation options allow it to be integrated into any design context, easily adapting to different spaces and architectures.
Compact design and optimised heights
The entire system is contained in just 58 mm in height, a measure that allows installation even in rooms with limited technical space and that contains the distance between shower surface and ceiling.
Ease of cleaning and maintenance
The grille and anti-odour system are removable and inspectable, allowing complete hygiene over time, even in environments with a high frequency of use.
Intuitive, guided installation
Each unit is accompanied by clear, detailed instructions. The fixing system is designed to reduce the margin for error during installation.
Adjustable feet from above
The articulated feet can also be adjusted after initial positioning, adapting to site tolerances and simplifying final installation.
Drain with active odour barrier
During use, the water flow opens a moving barrier that ensures drainage. When the drain is stopped, the barrier automatically lowers, preventing odours from rising, even when the well is dry. For a truly hygienic and pleasant showering experience.
